What is your goal? More sales? Social Media growth?Â
Make sure your goal is SPECIFIC, MEASURABLE, ATTAINABLE, RELEVANT, and TIME BASED
More sales… not specific, not measurable. How aboutÂ
Reach $5k in sales revenue (100 pillows at $50) on our new black and gold throw pillows in the month of January.Â
Let’s get to planning!!Â
Make a list of the steps needed to reach this goal
- Bring more traffic to the listing
- Identify advertising channels where people are interested in trending home decor
- Design advertising campaigns for each channel
- Create enticing offer to get them excited about having our pillows in their homeÂ
- Deliver the campaigns to each channel
- Convert 100 buyersÂ
Prioritize the steps in order to reach the goal

To find missing steps. Ask yourself, if I complete all of these steps, will I have reached my goal?
Study successful competitors techniques

For each step, answer this one question and add it under the step –
How will I know when I’ve completed this task?Â
Is it sending an email? Making an order? Finishing this video? This is called a measure of performance. It’s how you ensure you’ve completed each step before moving onto the next one.

Next, return to the first step and break it down further into tasks.

Remember, goals are most effectively reached in steps, not leaps.
Take one step at a time. Prioritize your steps. Don’t worry about breaking down all the tasks for step three before you’ve worked out step one. Don’t let the hugeness of your goal overwhelm you.Â
Most importantly, effectively outsource your tasks! A team of people with a documented plan can execute tasks much more quickly and effectively than one person trying to figure everything out.Â
